Updated 7/08 [M 45] I have always been a keen photographer and luckily my gorgeous wife has had the same interest on both sides of the camera! we are both in our 40's and enjoy a fantasic sex life. We would go away for a weekend, ensuring the hotel had nice gardens and grounds, but also a luxurious room, maybe with a spa bath, four poster bed, or just a nice setting for photography. I would take along my camera and a studio type light, she would bring a good selection of lingerie, high heels etc, she would also ensure her nails were manicured and painted a nice red colour, feet as well as hands. Upon arrival we would put a do not disturb on the door, and start our photography session.
My wife is slim with a gorgeous figure and she would wear, and stil does some expensive french lingerie, quarter cup bras with her nipples exposed and tiny micro g -strings, together with suspenders and stockings, and finally 4 or 5 inch high stilletoes. She would often do a strip sequence, with me taking photographs and giving her words of encouragement, which obviously she loves. She would start quite coyly, however ending up with her legs spread and her bright painted fingernails spreading apart the lips of her well trimmed pussy.
On many occasions I would join her at this stage ,we would put the camera on a tripod and get some fantasic shots in many positions, with my penis inside her, one favourite we have is of me sitting facing the camera and here straddling me with her back to the camera, still wearing stockings and heels and my penis inside her, my hands reaching around, holding her bottom, with one finger in her anus.
We would go into dinner later that evening, with our little secret, we were nearly caught one one occasion when we forgot to lock the door and another time when we didn't clear everything away, the lady who was making up the room gave us a little knowing smile and said something like it looked like we had been having fun!
I must say these sessions are a memory at the moment with a family now, however we still have photographs to remind us hidden away!

Updated 5/08 [F] I asked my husband if he’d be willing to be photographed nude with me. We often joke about filming our lovemaking. We imagine that one day when we’re too old to do it (is there such an age?), we’d want to at least be able to watch to remember what it used to be like. I don’t see that happening (filming), but taking nude pictures might actually be feasible. I started a sort of sex journal as a substitute for the video. I write about particularly memorable experiences in all the graphic detail. It wasn’t easy to do at first, but I’m getting used to it, and it’s immensely entertaining. I’ll share it with my husband one day. Taking some simple photos (nothing explicit) would be another great way of capturing our youth (relatively speaking) and intimacy.. He wasn’t very enthusiastic about the idea, but he didn’t say no either…
After reading the last posting on this subject, I got out my digital camera and took some pictures of myself. I hadn’t seen myself photographed nude since my girlfriend and I took the pictures I mentioned in my earlier post when we were 19 or so. Back then, we had to actually take the film into a lab to be developed and then face the guy behind the counter with the smirk on his face. Our digital cameras afford us complete privacy and a delete button that is my good friend. I wasn’t sure how I would feel seeing my middle-age body. Here’s what I had to face: abdomen and boobs have extra skin that is a result of pregnancies; hips are too wide; legs are too short. But I enjoyed seeing myself. One photo in particular, taken from behind, reminded me of a painting my grandmother had in her bathroom of a bathing woman. My husband likes that particular view of my back and waist, and I took the picture to try and understand why he finds it attractive. Lying on my side, I liked the outline of my waist and hips and the little valley that goes from the hip bone down the lower abdomen. I was also particularly fond of the strategically waxed and neatly trimmed trapezoid that tops my legs (the good thing about getting older is that you learn there are alternatives to things like picking pubic hairs out of your mouth; you know what I’m talking about!). The experience was fun. I encourage all women to photograph themselves and take a good long look. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
So that is my self-discovery related to this thread on nude photography. I wasn’t an O’Keefe to a Stieglitz, but I’m enjoying the various turns it’s taking.

Updated 4/08 [M 48] This is actually a reply to the reply to the letter I wrote (below) re being photographed in the nude.
First of all, I really encourage you to give this some thought if you have the slightest interest, as I have absolutely no regrets. I will say however, that, as a woman, be very careful about choosing a photographer and make sure to bring along a spouse or good friend. Don't let concerns or body issues (middle age curves, dimples, hanging boobs or a large bush) stop you. I'm in excellent shape for my age (I was 47 at the time), but nobody's going to confuse me with Brad Pitt. The pictures themselves were very simple front, side, and rear shots; no motion involved. Actually, in the pix, I look pretty relaxed. I wasn't trying to be too artsy, but I do find it interesting that (to me) the best ones are actually those where my genitalia are covered; not completely, as there is a good amount of pubic hair showing (now I trim most of it off, and it looks much better). One where I'm "cupping" myself is a favorite as, to me, it leaves the body parts to guesswork and it sends the message that, yes indeed, I do enjoy "touching myself."
I had considered having a couple of photos taken where I'm just wearing a pair of (black) bikini briefs, which I do wear, but I decided against that, and I'm actually glad I did. The coolest one is where I got my wife to pose (fully clothed) with me. We're both holding a rugby ball over my "equipment," both smiling. It's a great picture, one we've shown to several friends. One guy said "it takes a cool woman to do that," and I totally agree. Even though the guy was a total stranger, I had no problem being totally naked in front of him. I think that part of it was because we had no "history" and, to me, in many ways, it was purely a business transaction. Another reason, though, is that I enjoy being nude, and this environment had a mild erotic undercurrent (yet, nothing crude, as the photographer even said he sets limits) so I actually enjoyed being on display. I can't help but think that others would have a similar response.

Updated 3/08 [F] I am so intrigued by this idea. Your description reminds me of Thomas Eakins’ “Naked Series” photographs. In my early twenties, a friend and I got together to take erotic pictures to give to our boyfriends. That was fun (though I burned the negatives about three years later when I married someone else!), but it isn’t really the type of experience I’m looking for now. I’ve become more comfortable with my body over the years, even though childbirth and gravity have tried hard to discourage me, and I like the idea of expressing this artistically. Some time ago I read about the photographs that Alfred Stieglitz took of his wife, American painter Georgia O’Keefe. He supposedly took hundreds of photographs of her in an effort to capture the beauty he saw. I came across one of his pictures recently at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. It was a shot of her naked torso (i.e. no head, no legs). She was bent a little bit at the waist so that one breast hung much lower, making it look strangely larger than the other. But the photograph was captivating and erotic and unexpectedly beautiful to me. It helped me to see that I don’t need to photograph like a Helmut Newton model in order to appreciate my own female form and express that creatively. I’d like to explore this further, and your idea of creating a chronicle of the aging process has inspired me. I would be interested in knowing more about how the photos came out: were they strictly anatomical like the Eakins series or more artistic like a Helmut Newton? Were you comfortable posing nude? I’d like to hear more about that aspect of the experience too!

Updated 2/08 [M 48] Have others ever been professionally photographed naked? A couple of years ago I came up with the idea of "chronicling" my physical aging process. I had always had a curiosity about being photographed in the nude (tastefully), so I combined these two things into my "aging project." Basically, every three years (to allow time for significant physical change) I would get professionally photographed completely naked, front, back, and side. I did a bit of research (thank heaven for the net!) and found a local photographer (much published) who offered a service of "personal nudes." Part of the deal is that you get to keep the disks, so you don't have to worry about the pictures being published. What made this even better is that my wife had absolutely no problem with my idea. Anyway, I connected with the photographer (via e-mail), set up a date, and off we went. My wife didn't participate in the photographs, but she was there the whole time. All of the pictures were very tasteful, nothing to be ashamed of. I couldn't resist but ask the guy about his business (this service is something of a sideline of his); turns out he does three or four per week. Most are women, but some men. A lot are "before/after" involving surgeries or major weight loss. Also, some are varsity athletes (I live in a university town.) who know that they'll never look this good again, so they want to be photographed. My wife told a few (female) friends about my project and, after they had a giggle, many said "what a cool idea." Personally, I have no regrets (I keep the pictures and disk in a three-ring binder.). It was fun, funny, and the pictures turned out well (well enough for my project). I wish I had started doing this 25 years ago, but I also know that the internet made it possible. My next "session" will be in 2009, when I turn 50, and I plan to continue indefinitely.
