Recently someone asked for recommendations about lubricants. Here are some suggestions from visitors.
Updated 1/08 [M] We too are up against the inevitable "drying and aging" problem. We cured it with a 2 pound jar of coconut oil from the grocery store ($3.25). Smooth slick and easy clean up. Solid in the wide mouth jar, melts at 80 degrees, so it melts on your hand, which adds to the excitement. A little lasts a long time. Works well solo too.
Updated 11/07 [F] In response to the question on lubricants, my husband and I have tried several. All, of course, have various claims to being the best, but personally, we find Astoglide to actually be true to claims. We have recommended it to several of our friends and don't bother with the others anymore. An added advantage is that we have been able to find it at the local supermarket for less money than the adult stores or adult websites.
[F] Ky has finally done it! They have come out with a water soluble lubricant that is really GREAT!! It comes in a variety of aromas and does not have that sticky feeling. It also does not stain the sheets like the old KY jelly did. My wife and I have bought all the different aromas and it has definitely helped out sex life. This is the stuff we have been waiting for. On a side note, it doesn't taste bad either. [grin]
Updated 10/07 [M] We've always found ForPlay by Trimensa labs to be our favorite personal lubricant, whether we're having sex or masturbating. It's a thick, water-based gel that keeps its lubricity for a good long time. There are those that advertise as being "slicker," but many of those tend to dry out much more quickly.
When masturbating, I often use Astroglide instead of the ForPlay, but Astroglide is much thinner and prone to drip or run. ForPlay doesn't do that.
[F 60s] In response to your question on lubricants, I'm in my sixties and my natural juices, once so easily stimulated, have slowly been lessening in quantity so that recently I decided that I needed a lubricant. It was difficult to discuss this with my husband since I worried that he'd think it was his fault, or that I was getting old. However he understood immediately. (he's a keeper)
We've used several products - one made my tissues itch - and recently got a jar of slippery stuff from the Adam and Eve catalog, just called Adam and Eve lube. Great stuff. It stays slippery longer than KY - which gets tacky and sticky - and is a bit slipperier than Astroglide.
We're still trying different kinds - and the trying is such fun (evil grin).
