Kegel Exercises for Men

Updated 2/06 [F] In response to a visitor's question concerning the benefits of Kegel exercises for men, I have a little bit of information. First of all, regularly performing these exercises allows the man to better control the release of his orgasm, to prolong it further. Also, performing this exercise during intercourse hardens the penis more and makes the shaft "jump", hitting prime spots inside the vagina and increasing the woman's pleasure.

I was perusing your site and noticed the query about Kegel Exercises for men. I personally own SmartBalls from Fun Factory and swear by them, and in trying to describe them and their purpose to my boyfriend, I explained that the muscles affected by Kegels are the same ones that he could use to make his penis "jump." Given my glowing endorsement, and my assurance that, according to the literature, they could do wondrous things, he apparently commenced with what he calls "penile calisthenics." After just a few months, he has longer and more intense orgasms, much like I began to experience after using SmartBalls regularly.

[M 42] In November I had a massage by a woman who bills herself as an alternative therapist, who can help with breathing control, bodily awareness, and the like. She is not a tantra instructor. The reason I went to her is I wanted advice on how to delay ejaculation, increase my frequency of "total body orgasms", and to improve overall love making with my wife.
I do not suffer from premature ejaculation; however, I had read that if a man can learn to bring himself to the edge of orgasm frequently, then retreat, the ultimate orgasm once allowed to happen would result in an ejaculation of further distance plus a total body release.
The therapist told me that both men and women have a PC (pubococcygeus) muscle, which is responsible for the health of the pelvic floor. Exercising this muscle regularly will prolong the duration of lovemaking and make the climax more intense. For men, exercising this muscle can help us strengthen and better define our erections and orgasms. But as is the case with everything, discipline is required.
I have read that there are three tests you can use to see how well you can squeeze your PC muscle. They are: (1) When you have an erection, squeeze your PC muscle and see if you can make your penis jump substantially; (2) When you urinate, try to stop the flow midway (if you can't, time to exercise that PC!); and (3) Stick a finger in your rectum and try contracting your PC muscle - you will know that you're doing so because your finger will feel your anus contracting (pressure). When squeezing your PC, always try to keep your other muscles (thigh, back and abdominal) relaxed.
After that initial therapy session, I practiced at home by myself a number of times while masturbating. I brought myself repeatedly to the brink of orgasm, then squeezed my PC muscle three times in rapid succession while simultaneously holding back from stroking my penis. Then I would resume rubbing myself, bring myself back to the edge, and again back off via the PC route. After doing this cycle perhaps 10 times, I noticed that my semen had actually moved into the shaft of my penis, and I could see it right inside the opening tip of my urethra. But no orgasm yet. Some even dribbled out just a bit (this was not pre-cum, but semen). When finally I let myself go, my orgasms were incredibly intense - starting from my toes, they swept up my entire body (a combination of a tingling and flushed feeling). This body effect combined with the actual genital orgasm was fantastic. I normally do not "shoot" my sperm (normally dribbles out or spurts a few inches from my glans penis). But in this case, and I was lying down, I ejaculated right up to my neck.
I have incorporated this technique into love making with my wife and we have had some very heightened sessions. She is even trying to exercise her own PC muscle to see if that will help delay and heighten her own orgasms.
One last note. In one of my masturbation "training" sessions, I inserted my wife's G-spot vibrator a short distance into my rectum to stimulate my prostate gland. I have read a lot lately about so-called "prostate-milking". Well, the combination of the PC muscle squeezing (orgasm delay) technique combined with stimulation of my prostate was mind-blowing. Just as I approached orgasm, I would squeeze my PC muscle hard in three rapid successions. At the same time, while I stopped rubbing my penis, I continued to use the tip of the vibrator to massage my prostate. After doing this routine for around 40 minutes, I actually succeeded in ejaculating a regular amount of sperm without having an orgasm. The nice thing about this was two-fold: First, I could still proceed to bring myself to orgasm, in which I ejaculated again (albeit a lesser amount of fluid). Second, I always fantasize about tasting my own semen prior to ejaculation but after orgasm, I often chicken out. But in this case, because I had not yet orgasmed, I was still in a continued state of arousal and readily scooped up my first ejaculate into my mouth. What an erotic taste and feeling.
